"...Does this mean that I should be content with my singleness? I would answer that while I may never be content with my singleness, I can know God’s joy in my singleness. I can give thanks for it. I can use it to bless others. But I’m not going to waste time feeling guilty that I still desire marriage. In fact, I’m going to view this unfulfilled desire as a parable of the holy discontentment we should feel until Christ returns.

The Bible tells us that we are aliens and strangers in this world. A single person knows what it feels like to live as an odd man out in a couple’s world. Why not glorify God by acknowledging that alienation while asking him to make you less at home in the world? Why not live a chaste life with the knowledge that you are embodying God’s will for his church as we fast and wait for our Bridegroom? Why not continue to pray for a spouse, even as you join in the words of the Spirit and the Bride who cry, “Come, Lord Jesus, come!”

Resurrected LIFE!

The word 'resurrection' sounds lively, a word that gives one hope. I looked up the meaning in the dictionary and was not surprised by the definition 'the restoration of the dead to life', 'revival'. No wonder speaking this word brings life or hope to a soul.

In the busyness of life (or using that as an excuse), one forgets the whole reason behind the lent season. Its not just about remembering the sacrifice, its about experiencing it and the reason behind the sacrifice and the resurrection.

I name this post 'Resurrected life' not because its Good Friday today or its Easter in two days but because the Lord is allowing me to experience it. A call to RISE - STAND - LIVE .... a lost soul brought back to life, a call to rise up from confusion, to stand up against hopelessness, to live a life whose identity is in Jesus!

I was thinking about the whole scene of passover last night, Jesus never let his loved ones alone even though he knew he'll be left alone. He encouraged them to not be troubled, he knew they will fear people/situations but he interceded for them upfront... 

He knew his own will deceive him but he still did not judge but loved us. He fulfilled his purpose on the cross taking our/my sin to revive our/my soul. Because he took the pain, I have the strength, courage to rise up how many ever times I fall. He alone brings a dead soul back to life... 

When the world tries to bring you down because of what the society thinks of you or expects from you, his call is to rise and stand for him... not to run away or hide but because his word in Psalm 18 says:

 "He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.

17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,  from my foes, who were too strong for me.

18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support..."

As a child of god, our identity is in/and through Christ Jesus no matter how the enemy tries to deceive you or lie to you. His word says:

"He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me..."

He has called us to live in his freedom in that spacious place he may be calling each one of us..

Our part: To RISE from our circumstances, sin, situations just as Christ was raised to life.... To STAND to sing his praises, to stand to testify.. To LIVE in him because We are raised by Christ Jesus from our sins.. We were dead in our sin, circumstances, confused life ..

But Jesus is calling us to RISE UP - STAND to praise and testify- LIVE in him,in his freedom!!!!
